Introducing a new favorite on the market: The Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO! This a low-cost, multi-camera, live production with advanced broadcast features, compact switcher. ATEM Mini switchers (Atem Mini and ATEM Extreme pictured above) make it easy to create a professional multi camera production for live stream, business presentations, or podcasts. You might already know that the ATEM Mini models have a USB so you can use any streaming software, but the ATEM Mini Extreme also adds live streaming and recording to USB disks. It also has an additional 8 HDMI inputs, 2 separate HDMI outputs and a Multiview with up to 16 views.

We’ve been looking at a series of cable and equipment testers recently. These tools help give us ideas when troubleshooting systems and how to proceed. If you know a cable is bad it is much easier to replace it than your other pieces of equipment. So, here’s another cable tester we use and love!
You simply plug each end of your cable into the appropriate connections and turn the knob to check each pin connection. LED's confirm each conductor continuity and connection status of each wire. This is such a useful tool for us! It allows us to check every connection we terminate before we install that cable on any job site. If we are having an issue with a cable this is a quick and simple way to check and make sure that the cable is not the problem.
It can be really helpful to have cable testers as part of your toolbox. They can save you so much time and sometimes turn a seemingly big problem into a simple fix. You know the rule about sequels…They’re never as good as the original. But we are hoping this can be closer to “The Dark Night” and less of “Jaws 2”.

The Blackmagic Design ATEM Constellation 8k has been fun to add to several projects this last year. Just the name sounds fancy and you’d be right. This item is still fairly new on the market and just one of the reasons we are so excited to use it.
This Constellation is an ultra HD live production switcher! It has all the features meaning you can combine them all to make an incredibly powerful 8K switcher. With so many input and output options, not to mention the DVEs and viewers, the constellation also offers even standards conversion on all inputs. It even has an audio mixer with EQ and dynamics. This week we’d like to spend some time highlighting a favorite brand from Lambda! There are a lot of brands and products out there, so having an integrator (like Lambda) to work with you means that we’ve tested new brands and products to see how they work with other equipment before offering them to you. So, reviewing some of our brands is a great way to get to know the product we love and why we offer these items in our systems.  Have you heard about KLIK? KLIK products offer some great ways to make meeting easier, not only within an office but via remote location. Most computers, Mac or PC, have a way to share wirelessly to screens, but it can be complicated to actually make it happen. While Macs connect to Apple TV boxes, PCs work with other streaming boxes and both can be hard to set up in business network environments. This is where KLIK comes in. KLIK provides a number of cross-platform solutions to make this easier and affordable.
 The Black Magic Pocket 4k and 6k camera are some of our favorite pieces of gear that we use and install. This is evident by how often you see us talk and post about them. They are extremely versatile, and their price point makes them very accessible to a broad range of budgets.
Or several cases... A local church in town, Zeal, came to us asking to help them build a portable church system. They already had a few pieces of equipment but were looking for a few more tech pieces to have a service every week in a school building. At first glance, it may not sound too tricky or like an excessively big job. What do you need for a portable system, just some speakers and a mic and you are good to go, right?? The task was a little bigger than that.
