I've been doing av since about age 3 and...

I can't imagine life without it. First, I was obsessed with headphones as a kid.  Then my Dad’s best friend at the time taught me how to turn their work servers on and off. Later at the age of about 8, my Dad had me helping check the mics at church on Sundays.  In high school, I got into video through our high school video program KDET-TV and Ryan Cameron, my teacher, really inspired me to take my gifts and run with them.  In college, I went to southern Illinois university and worked with our PBS station WSIU-TV editing and directing news with my three Teachers, Steve North, Mark Wetstein, and Roger Suski, (Go Salukis!) all who gave me amazing chances to learn and grow in the industry.  Outside of TV and Audio Visual, I love motorsports.  I have a heavily modified Nissan frontier I take on trails and rock crawl. I am also working on engine swapping a 1984 VW GTI to track race.  I love camping and visiting the ocean with my wonderful wife of 9 years, Elizabeth, and spending time with our cuddly dog and ball of energy, Darcy the Ridiculous Dog.

...finance and accounting skills in private industry for the better part of a decade.
I advise on Lambda’s overall strategy, make sure the numbers are correct, and try to ensure we are utilizing and taking care of our employees and contractors. I like reading, working out, eating delicious food, and learning about myself and others. If I’m not doing those things or working, I’m probably hanging out with Ryan or snuggled up somewhere with 35lbs of love in dog form, aka, Darcy

I've spent much of my life involved with...

...the local church and ministry, but Audio Visual was something I picked up later. As a Colorado native, we like to say in here: you aren’t more than 3 degrees separated from a Fisk involved with serving a small business or ministry. I have always been interested in AV but for me it became a way for me to serve. Every church I have been at over the years I have looked for ways to plug in and tech was usually one of the ways I could do that. For about 3 years I toured with Glen Eyrie youth camps and I got used to arriving at churches all across the country with not much time available to setup and never the ideal equipment, but still making things work. Much of my relationship with Ryan leading up to Lambda was formed while volunteering through a local community theatre group. I coordinated all of the sound tech needs from making mic assignment sheets to equipment maintenance, teaching actors proper mic technique and actually running the tech side of the show. I have grown my skills more and more seeking out training through working with industry peers and attending classes like rational acoustics smart training and others. When I'm not working for Lambda I am either working part time at my local church as our lead audio engineer on weekends, screaming my head off at the Colorado Rockies, or spending time with my lovely wife, Leah.

I am a Colorado native and love being...

...outdoors, camping and gardening. Since I was little I have loved writing! I wrote stories all the time and even put together literary newsletters for my friends. I love to cook for whoever is around! I also enjoy drawing and painting! (Check out the cow in our fun fact about cows and sound). In high school, I started my first job at a Retreat and Conference Center. I loved working there for five years and worked my way up to a Lead Cook, to a General Manager. From there, I started my own business as a Personal Assistant and Home Caretaker. It felt like a natural step to use my writing, artistic skills, and my business knowledge to begin work for Lambda. Though I am fairly new to the Audio Visual world, I love it! I love learning about the amazing tech we have and how it works, even down to the wiring. I've known Trevor since I was born, Elizabeth since I was about 9, and I accepted Ryan when he stole my friend away! ;) So, sometimes working for Lambda is more like a crazy family reunion.
