Tech Training With Lambda
When it comes to using your tech gear effectively, Lambda believe that it’s important to get to know your equipment. That’s why we are very big believers in Training! It’s important to be well equipped with knowledge all year so this might be a great time to ask yourself if your av team could use training or a refresher! So, we wanted to take a minute to talk about 3 different ways that you can get training for your new or established gear!
The first avenue for training is one we provide with any new install. We want to make sure that with a room full of new stuff you don’t feel at a loss about the potential of your equipment. That’s why we provide an on-site training with each new equipment install. In this training we try to cover the basics of your new equipment, such as: how do you turn it on and how do you get through a service or a meeting? We work with you to do some basic programming. This usually involves customizing the setup to your needs. It’s important to realize that in New Equipment Trainings we don’t cover any advanced features as it is just too much information to absorb. When you get the firehose all at once it can cause you to forget the basics. It’s important to have a solid knowledge of the basics before adding more advanced thing, so we suggest practicing with the main features first. Also, with our New Install Trainings we try to catch up with you after about a month of use and answer any new questions, adjust things and help you with any “growing pains”. As simple and well tested as we try to make our systems, they are always subject to some adjustments after settling in. In addition to small adjustments to meet your style standard, you or your team may remember the system has a function but not how to use it. So, a follow-up is a great chance for everyone to have an opportunity to ask any questions. |

The second source we like to point out is absolutely free! We love to point out the materials and resources provided by the manufacturer for training. These would be manuals or online training videos. No one knows the gear better than the engineers that made it and these are great, highly informed resources. Our owner Ryan loves sitting down with a good manual and really studying all the different “hidden features”. There really is no better way to get to know your gear. Which is also an important point: this is “Your” gear. Lambda tries to bring you the best resources possible but knowing thousands of pieces of gear down to the exact feature and how it is implemented at the drop of a hat is more than even we could ever handle. So, dive in and check out that Manual or jump online and watch some training videos! Perhaps even schedule “homework” assignments to your team so you can all learn together.
Lambda Offers Advanced On Site Trainings. Training sessions are created for your specific needs. Lambda offers training for a few hours on any system. We also offer half day training and full day training with a free lunch provided! If a full day of training and a tasty meal isn't enough we also offer training with a checkup beforehand. This includes updating your system and fixing any connection issues you might have. Sound specific training can include your band or we can come set up multi-track recording, if your system is compatible, and practice using those tracks. The opportunities and options are limitless! There is no point in having new gear if you don't know how to use it to it's best ability. We have experts across our team in Audio, Video, and Lighting who are passionate about what they do and love to share every tip and trick they have. We make these trainings unique to you and can build on skills that you want your team to have. We run deals on Trainings several times a year, so keep a look out! |
