Room Tune
Lambda's highlighted service is Room Tunes. What is a Room Tune? It is venue specific frequency analysis and correction. Ok, ok. That’s was just the fancy way to say room tuning! But while that was a fancy way to say that, it is a very accurate description of what we do when we come “SMAART” your room!
This is a topic that we are super passionate about, so we'll try not to get too nerdy about it and just explain the basics to you! SMAART stands for System Measurement Acoustic Analysis Real-time Tool. Using pink noise, (wait, you don’t know what pink noise is?? Click here to find out!), the SMAART software, and a reference mic, we are able capture data about the PA and what the room dynamic is doing to effect different frequencies of sound. See, getting that data is easy, the hard part is taking the data and being able to decipher what it means. After understanding what it means, we then take the correct steps to “tune” the room! This is where we get to work our magic!
In addition to completing the full SMAART course through Rational Acoustics our Tech has spent many hours analyzing data from different rooms and learning the best way to take that data and apply it to real world applications.

We are then able to give this information to your tech team and with that knowledge and training, your Front Of House engineer will able to craft a mix that can avoid some of those offending frequencies caused by the design of the building.
We love being able to give knowledge to the people running the consoles in those rooms and helping them to create and craft the best mix they can.
