As lead Lamb around here, (Duh the Lamb writing this year), I take it upon myself each year to regal you with the accomplishments and tales of the crew at Lambda throughout the year. Originally, there was a board meeting discussion of removing me as your narrator and doing something light and fluffy and Dr. Seusy for the children, but I can’t have anyone ruin Christmas traditions, so we’ll call this letter the Lamb who stole the Christmas letter: Coffee Edition.

May your days be filled with peace, hope, |
The new year started with a baa-ng for Lambda. We moved into our new shop (after getting a new woof) and before we knew it, the shelves were filled with equipment and for the first time, Trevor was warm, Ryan wasn’t allowed to put car parts on the floor and nobody had to crawl into the attic to get to their desk. There’s more coffee than anyone should drink, fluffy blankets and a highly debated microwave rule… | This year brought some unexpected changes for Lambda, but we wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who kept us going! We couldn’t have made it through this year without you and we hope the service and content we’ve worked to create has made a difference for your business too! Here’s to next year! With every changing day, Lambda has worked hard to make the changes necessary to meet safety guidelines this year. We know our Christmas letter is wildly popular, so, in honor Covid and the spirit of trying to social distance and quarantine, the jokes herein will be strictly INSIDE jokes. Stay safe! We’ll always be here for ewe. |
It’s me, the lamb, Duh!
Yes, my name is Duh. Kirby the Trailer wrote last year, but this year I took over. After all, it’s my face that’s on the company logo. If I can represent the company with my great bod, seems like they’d trust me to write the year end update. It’s time to remind them who they actually work for: Duh A.V. Lamb!
Award for most creative subscriber feedback goes to the creator who sent our newsletter pic back like this! | It’s been a busy and exciting year for Lambda! We didn’t quite make our main goal: to wool the world, but we did make our social media growth goal. So, pat yourself on the back if you’re reading this and joined the Lambda Family this year! |
We started off the year by doing quite a bit of traveling. (No, Ryan hasn’t bought the Lamborghini yet…I’d look good on that!) First was an install at Indian Creek Community Church in Kansas City, redesigning their main stage. We overhauled their look by adding back lighting and new screens and projectors. Though road trips can be a bit boring (I’ve never been, but I see the travel updates come in over Slack from my overlord position in the office) we love to bring Lambda’s services to out of state clients too. With more jobs added to the calendar, we knew we would need more hands. Spring this year we added Matt to our install crew and social team and Jed to our design team. Matt jumped into the Lambda family and fits in nicely with the weirdness. Jed is a senior in engineer school which made him a perfect candidate first as an intern and then to hire to CAD all the designs. Ah college, it takes me back to my fraternity days at Lambda Lambda Lambda. |
I have taken it upon myself this Christmas to bring you a Christmas card! After all, seeing as I’m the one who proudly bares and displays the sheep, I mean lamb-(duh!)-it seemed appropriate for me to be in charge of the Christmas letter! Let me introduce myself: My name is Kirby, the immaculate Trailer. That is, I was, until Ryan recently decided to give me a piercing with a 2x4. It hurt just a little.
Some jobs are harder than others... |
We started out the year on the run as we finished a 21 room upgrade with Center for Creative Leadership. Ryan, my proud owner, was more than busy. Training new staff, managing Trevor, bidding jobs, managing Trevor, traveling for installs and conferences, managing Trevor…you get the idea! It’s true, there is no rest for a small business owner. Ryan and Trevor have also have added many more audio, video and lighting trainings to help churches get the most from their equipment. It’s exciting to get new equipment and information into your hands! We love to see you succeed. We also added several more corporate jobs this year. We all loved the work and fun install at Air Academy Federal Credit Union and the video install we did at Air Academy High School
